Wayne Gary Jackson's Obituary
Wayne was born on August 8, 1944 in Dallas, Texas and died on December 10, 2007 at the age of 63. He is survived by his son Christopher W. Jackson; former wife Nancy Pennington; close family friend, Kathleen Roten; aunt, Bernice McClure and husband C.D.; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Joe and Gert Jackson, grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Wayne grew up in Highland Park, graduating from Highland Park High School. He earned a BS from SMU, a Masters in Political Science from Tulane University and his law degree from the SMU School of Law. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, football and books. Growing up with a dad in the motion picture industry, he also enjoyed movies. He was a friend of Bill Wilson and enjoyed his last years in sobriety. He tried to give back by devoting his time and energy to the service of his church, Walnut Hill United Methodist Church.
