Waynona McGinnis Gilliam, age 85, of Irving, Texas was born on December 21, 1936 in Dallas, Texas to William and Mildred McGinnis passed away on March 22, 2022. Waynona graduated from Irving High School in 1954. She married George on December 1, 1956 in Irving, Texas. She worked for Southwestern Bell at the age of 16 until she retired with 37 years, at the age of 53. She enjoyed trail riding, collecting roosters, and going on cruises with her sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Gilliam, and daughter, Judy Lynn Gilliam.
She is survived by her son, Gary Gilliam of Irving, Texas; daughter, Lisa Taylor of Irving, Texas; granddaughters, Taylor Gilliam of Irving, Texas and Lauren Taylor of Moore, Oklahoma; grandson Roby Gilliam of Irving, Texas; Sister Carvette Watkins and husband, David of Garland, Texas.
