Weldon Dillard's Obituary
DILLARD, BUFORD WELDON, 1929-2016 HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, ARKANSAS Buford Weldon Dillard, 87, of Hot Springs Village, AR passed on December 2, 2016. Born November 5, 1929, Weldon was a Dallas elementary teacher, having earned his Master’s from North Texas State. He enjoyed refereeing high school football, gardening and woodworking. Known for his life of serving others as both a lay minister and deacon, he loved his Lord, his church, and his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine (Harris) Dillard, his daughter Lyn Brown (Dr. Bert Brown) and their children, Bethany Way (Lance), Blake Brown (Robyn), and Blaire Ritz (Dave), as well as his daughter Laurie Reasons (Dr. Allen Reasons) and their children Katherine Pyles (Eric) and Preston Reasons (Faina Barinova). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Kerry Dillard of The Colony, Texas. Weldon will be buried at Restland Cemetery. A service of the celebration of his life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his church, Barcelona Road Baptist Church of Hot Springs Village, AR. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
