Wendel Joseph Cummings' Obituary
Cummings, Wendel Born February 11, 1930 in Corsicana, TX to Alex and Ethel Cummings. He passed away July 6, 2008 in Rockwall, TX after a long illness. He retired after 38 years service with Allstate Insurance. He was a coach for Garland PeeWee Football and coached many years for the West Garland Little League where he also served as President of the League. He was a former member of the Garland Optimist Club and the Garland Parks Board. He is a member of the Cedar Creek United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Phyllis. He is survived by his wife Bobbie, his daughter Vicki Shepard and husband, Billy, his daughter Tami Kirby and husband, Kevin. He is also survived by grandsons, Billy Shepard, Jr., Cameron & Kennedy Kirby, granddaughter, Stacy May. He is also survived by a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James & Hazel Evans. Visitation will be Monday, July 7, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2008 at 12:30PM at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel.
