Wendell “Tex” Melton McCarty was born on July 24, 1921 in Durant, Oklahoma and passed away on July 26, 2017 in Frisco, Texas. Tex served in the U.S. Air Force. Tex was married to Carolyn McCarty who passed away in 1993. His surviving children are Kyle McCarty, Susan McCarty Lindsay, & James McCarty. He also has four grandchildren. Austen McCarty, Britney McCarty, Hunter Lindsay, & Haley Lindsay. Funeral services for Tex will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, 12:30 PM at the Restland Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
