Wendy Claire Edmondson's Obituary
Wendy Claire Williamson Edmondson, left us unexpectedly on Thursday, April 27th in Austin, Tx at the young age of 61. Brought into this world on October 18, 1955 by her loving parents Minnie Claire and Richard Hugh Williamson in Dallas, TX. She will be greatly missed by many. In 1961, her mom, dad, brother Blair and sister Kelly moved to Amarillo to continue their beautiful family journey. She had a great life with her family and many friends there. She graduated from Alamo Catholic High School and was a member of the swim team, something she loved to do. She loved being around water especially spending time in the Hill Country with her large Austin family at her grandmother’s Lake Travis home. After graduating and leaving Amarillo she spent time in Arlington, Santa Fe, and San Antonio before settling in Dallas in 1981. There she met her loving husband, Dave, and they married on New Year’s Day, 1982. A few years later they moved to Lake Highlands to spend the next 33 years where they raised their beloved boys, Bleu Stewart (39) and Kirk Tyler (28) Edmondson. They were the love of her life and she cherished following Bleu around watching his shows and Kirk around watching junior golf events. Wendy was in the music business early in her career picking orders for her dad’s business and managing record stores. Her real career was in the oil and gas consulting business. She worked with the Scotia Group for 25 years, and spent the last 5 years at DeGoyler and MacNaughton, where co-workers immediately became lifelong friends; she was loved at both companies. Wendy loved to entertain and travel. Her mom and dad had a large impact on her love for entertaining and she spent many years traveling to Santa Fe for the parties and fun at mom and dads. She loved the have family and friends over and she went full tilt to entertain. Whether it was the Hill Country, California, Boston or the Oklahoma casinos, she loved to travel with Dave. Having been influenced heavily by her parents, she loved music. She could sing the lyrics in the car to almost every song that come on and she would belt it out. Lastly, she loved her baby Blonde Pearl and told her every day that she was the most beautiful dog on the planet. Wendy created the most beautiful network of family and friends through her outpouring of love and will be greatly missed. She was a giver and would love for everyone to remember her with a donation to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers. “We’ll Miss You My Baby” Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
