Let us not grieve the passing of our friend, Knight236, but let us celebrate Wes Howard's life and praise him as we knew him. If you knew Knight, you understood how well "Defiant" fit him. Not just in his demeanor, nor his speeches… but most importantly in his defiance of death. His bodily expiration date had passed long before I knew him, yet I still had the honor of his friendship for two years. If anyone was ever to deserve the title of "Defiant", it was he. He made us laugh, cry, even start a few wars… but no matter what happened, he always believed nothing could touch him. Just as long as he had music, a jay, a shrubbery, and of course… his friends on Rubi-Ka. I remember the first time I made a toon for AO. My father, Forver, had been President of The Defiant for only a few months, when Knight had married Smint. I saw upon my father's screen a bunch of dancing avatars, heard great music from the speakers, but what really grabbed my attention were the Monty Python quotes scrolling away in Org Chat. I made my first toon that night, thanks to GSP and good ole Knight. Knight wasn't just a friend to me… he was family. Both my father and I embrace him as such. So tonight, I say goodbye to my dear Uncle and wish him well in Rock N Roll Heaven. His spirit will forever be embodied here within The Defiant. Now, in the name of Knight, let us defy death the attention he craves, and celebrate the LIFE of the one and only Wes Howard. IN NOMINE PATRI FILI ET SPIRITUS SANCTI, DEFIANTUS OMNIA VINCIT.
