Wesley Smith Sanders Jr. of Dallas, Texas was born February 24, 1931, and passed away April 16, 2017. Preceded in death by his father, Wesley S. Sanders Sr. and mother, Lorena Douglas; brother, T. Douglas Sanders, and son, Jay Bradley Sanders. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Annette Cecil; his two sons, Mark Sanders and his wife, Tammy, Neil Sanders and wife, Nicole; grandchildren, Colin Sanders, Ashley Weaver, Ella Sanders and Daniel Sanders; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Mallory and Courtney Weaver. Wes was a Dallas native, a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He loved helping people and was an insurance agent for more than 32 years. He was a devout member of East Dallas Christian Church, a 50-year active 32nd degree Mason at Roy Stanley Lodge. He enjoyed golf, snow skiing, bowling, softball and spending time with his family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service for Wesley will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 21, 2017, at East Dallas Christian Church, 629 N. Peak St. Dallas, TX 75246. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
