Wilburn "Will" L. Mills' Obituary
Willburn L. “Will” Mills born on April 23, 1932 in Cuthand, Red River County, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2011. Mr. Mills graduated from Fullbright High School in Fullbright, Texas, on May 31, 1949 and joined the Military service in June of 1949, serving for 22 years. Mr. Mills served during the Korean, Vietman War. During his military service he was stationed in the Far East, Europe, Asia, Antarctic, and England. Mr. Mills also retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in July of 1987. He worked in Leavenworth, Kansas and also in Seagoville, Texas. Mr. Mills was a life member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign War), DAV (Disabled American Veteran), AFSA (Air Force Sergeant’s Association), and TREA (The Retired Enlisted Association). He was also a Master Mason 32nd Scottist Rite mason and a Hella Temple Shiners in Garland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Annie Mills; two brothers; and one sister. He is survived by two sisters; two brothers; his wife, Charlotte Mills; together they have 10 children, 7 girls and 3 boys; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. His most cherished memories were of the Christmas holiday with all the decorations and the many family functions with the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel 10:00a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 with interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park’s Court of Reflections.
