Dixie was born on April 8, 1924 in Ennis , TX to John and Christina Petruy and passed away on July 2, 2018, in Dallas, TX. she was preceded in death by her husband, George D. Vandergriff, Sr. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Massey and her husband, Roy; Terri Balderach and her husband, Ron; son, George D. Vandergriff, Jr.; brother, Willie Petruy; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; special caregiver and friend, Lydia Kennon and sitters, Penny Jackson and Cynthia Bradford. Funeral services for Dixie will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 10:00 at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel with interment to follow at Restland Cemetery.
