Willard Frew Davis' Obituary
DAVIS, WILLARD FREW Born April 19, 1926 in Blakely, PA, peacefully passed to the other side June 20, 2012 with family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Barbara; children, Ellen D. Filson and husband B.J, Elizabeth Davis-Beard and husband Jeff, Willard M. Davis and wife Melody, Pamela D. Martin and husband Mike, Jennifer D. Pappas and husband Randall, and Edith P. Davis; and 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Will graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1951 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and then had a 19-year career with Westinghouse during the heyday of nuclear power. At the age of 50, he left Westinghouse and attended Pennsylvania State University, obtaining his MS in geophysics. This led to a move to Dallas, TX in 1980 and a career with Mobil Oil in exploration and production. The highlight of his life was his marriage to Barbara. Private family services with Internment will be held at the DFW National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity.
