William (Bill) Paul Carr's Obituary
William (Bill) Paul Carr was born March 19, 1936 in Erie, Pennsylvania and passed away August 2, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas.
Bill is preceded in death by his sweet and lovely wife, Monette; his parents, William George and Tillie Mae; and his brother, Joe.
Bill is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sue; his sister, Barbara. His daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Eddie; his son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Stacey; and his grandchildren, Shannon, Seanna, Amber, Joshua, Jonathan and Elijah.
Bill grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania and Hollywood, Florida. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1957. He was a radar instructor and a veteran of the Korean War. Bill also performed on the Ed Sullivan Show as a member of the Air Force Choir. After his honorable discharge, he attended college and worked as a milk man. While still in college, Bill was hired by IBM, where he worked as an engineer for 30 years, until his retirement. Bill loved golf, local sports teams and singing in the choir at both Calvary Baptist Church and First Baptist Garland. He also served as a Deacon at Calvary. He will be missed by his family and friends, but we take comfort in knowing he is now singing in the heavenly choir.
