William "Bill " Julius Sampert Jr.'s Obituary
William Julius Sampert Jr., 98, was born on January 4, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to parents William Sr. and Deborah Sampert. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise, Daughters and Sons In Law, Mary and Steve Green, Linda and Jim Sammons, Suzanne and Mike Worthing, Grandson Travis Green, Granddaughters Jennifer Green, Kellie Thurman, and Great Grandchildren Peyton, Lyla and Sadie Davison.
He graduated from North Dallas High School. He was a veteran of WW ll and served in the Army Air Force as a pilot with the rank of Captain. He graduated from SMU with a BBA degree and worked for Employers Insurance of Texas and Employers Casualty Company as Marketing Executive for 38 years.
Bill was a life long member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ where he held many positions. He was president of the White Rock Sailing Club and a member of the Elks Lodge. Bill was a reader for the Lighthouse of the Blind and volunteered at the Dallas Arboretum. Bill was full of outgoing energy, love of life and humankind and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
A memorial service will be held in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home
on December 1st at 9:00 AM
