William "Bill" J Ward's Obituary
William “Bill” J. Ward of Dallas, Texas passed away on July 18, 2021. Bill was born on September 27, 1933 in Auburn, Alabama to George Joseph and Juanita Ward. He was with GE for 41 years and served last as Regional Manager of GE Southwest Power Systems Sales. Bill was a true Auburn Man, not only being born there, but also raised. He loved his Alma Mater with all his heart and soul. He was a 1955 graduate of Auburn University in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of the Auburn Baseball team, and Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Later he served on the Auburn Engineering Council and received the Distinguished Engineering Award. He was also a Member of the Dallas Boy Scouts Circle Ten Council. Bill was a member of Gulfview United Methodist Church in Panama City Beach, Florida. He was involved in the Optimist Club and enjoyed playing golf weekly with his Panama City friends, son, Joe and grandson, Davis. He shared his love for Auburn University and was so proud that all 3 grandkids are continuing the Auburn Legacy!
He is preceded in death by his parents: George Joseph and Juanita Ward; and his wife of 43 years, Martha L. Ward. Bill will be lovingly remembered by those individuals who survived him: Rubilyn Ward, William “Joe” Ward Jr., Camille Ward, and his only grandchildren Caroline, Davis and Natalie Ward.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 9:30am to 10:30am at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas 75243. The graveside service will be held at 11:00am the same day at Restland Cemetery.
