William Kyle "Bill" Murphy's Obituary
Murphy, William “Bill” of Plano, Texas, passed away on February 10, 2014. He was a member of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco. Bill was a successful entrepreneur in Sales and Marketing in the Printing and Advertising industries. Bill was a creative artist and singer; with a beautiful Bass voice he began singing in choirs from the age of 12. He was a sports fan and enjoyed professional football, the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars. An avid golfer he played on many courses, with favorites being Whistler, Hawaii and eventually, being the proud Irishman he was, in Ireland; he received many trophies and awards in golf. Playing golf with brother, Paul, one afternoon he had his best score for nine holes which was a “31”. Bill is survived by wife, Carole of Plano, Texas; brother, Paul Murphy and wife, Brenda; children, Kyle “Kim” Booth and wife, Carolyn, Veneshia Crowder and husband, Kerry, Bambi Smith, Tiffany Bowden and husband, Rick, Courtney Murphy and wife, Krista and stepdaughter, Tracy Thrash and husband, Mark; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was a much loved husband, father and grandfather and will always be remembered for his strong Christian faith and his bravery. The family wants to thank the caregivers at Baybrooke Village Care and Rehabilitation Center for their dedication and devotion to Bill during his time there. Their interaction and care for him will be so greatly and fondly remembered. “Life is the exhilarating adventure of living for Christ and death is but a shadow we pass through on our way into His presence”.Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Stonebriar Community Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bill’s memory to Stonebriar Community Church Special Needs Ministry or Music Ministry.
