William "Bo" Bohanan's Obituary
William “Bo” Bohanan was born on October 4, 1934, in Dallas, Texas at Methodist Hospital to Clarence and Grace Bohanan and passed away on March 8, 2017, in Plano, Texas. He was 82 years of age. He was an active member of Plano First United Methodist Church since 1969. His Christian Faith was an important part of his life in everything he did. He was retired from Chilton Corporation, where he was a Vice President and MBI of which he was part owner. Bo was an Optimist Club member since 1960 when he returned to Dallas after college at the University of Nebraska where he played football for the Corn Huskers. His brothers Tom and Bob told him it was time for him to repay society. He served as President for a time and remained a member until his memory problems required him to give up his activities in the Optimist Club. Bo loved being on the lake, doing anything at the JB Farms in Sulphur Springs, and snow skiing until we got too old. His closest friends are the group from Adamson High School in Dallas. He had many great friends among the Corsicana State Home, The Rockbrook Gang, and current neighborhood where he lived up until he moved into a memory care facility. His family is comforted knowing he is reunited with his Heavenly Father. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Bohanan. William is survived by his beloved wife, Jean; son, Brad; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Bervin Hatton; grandchildren, Nicala, Kennedy, Jaxx and Vivi; brothers and sisters, Tommy, Martelle, Gladys, Jimmy, Jane, Martha and David; nieces and nephews, Beth, Kay, Kelly, Drew, Ken, Charles, Greg, Scott, Jimmy, Jennifer, Rob, Anne, Bruce, and Angie. He is also survived by the loving spouses of his siblings, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 11, 2017, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in stateroom C-D at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service for William will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at 2:30 PM in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
