William O. Briggs' Obituary
William Odis Briggs, 67 of Dallas, Texas, passed away in his home peacefully, surrounded by family on August 15, 2021 of cancer. He was born May 6, 1954 to Frank Briggs and Ada Hegdahl in Dallas, Texas. William married Tierney Goode on March 21, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a Rotary Wing Aviator for 41 years. William served in the U.S. Army from 1980-1990 as a CWO in Army Aviation. He is survived by his wife, Tierney Goode, daughters Bree Folk of Tucson, AZ and Christy Briggs of Austin, Texas; sons, Brandon Briggs of Austin, Texas and Charles Folk of Tucson, AZ; sister, Linda B. Wheeler of Sachse, Texas; and 4 grandchildren, Daenen, Ethan, Kayleigh-bear and Adrianna. Although he achieved much in his life, our father always said that his greatest accomplishment was his children. As his next mission will have him on a new flight path for a while, he did have two requests: The first was for Bree and I to continue to be kind to one another and always bring the family together as we have for many years. His last request was to ensure Tierney’s grandchildren stayed in her life. This is a true testament of how dad cared for others before himself. Dad, we will miss you and fulfill your wishes for our family with joyful hearts.
