William Leonard Broomall's Obituary
BROOMALL, WILLIAM L. Born September 9, 1920 in Hagerstown, MD and passed away February 27, 2008 in Plano. William served in the US Air Force during WWII. He and his wife, Mary Alice, were teachers for over 25 yrs in Montgomery County, MD before retiring to Texas. William was involved in the Masonic lodge, was a choir member in Wesley UMC of McKinney and FUMC of Plano and was past president of Hurricane Creek Country Club Assoc. in Anna, TX. Preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mary Alice. Survived by daughter, Jill Stoel and husband Gerry; daughter, Jan Broomall; grandchildren, Mary Herrera and husband Jesse, Michael Mulligan and wife Aleen, and Victoria Swaney and husband Roy; and great grandson, Cayden Mulligan. Visitation will be from 1-3pm, Friday, February 29th at Restland Funeral Home with graveside service at 4pm. A memorial service will be held at 10am, Saturday, March 1st at First United Methodist Church of Plano, 3160 Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano, Texas. Memorials may be made to United Way of Collin County.
