William Stollings Bush's Obituary
William S. Bush, 95, of Plano, Texas, formerly of Dallas, TX passed away at home on April 29, 2015. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Harris Bush and his parents, William Franklin and Marguerite Stollings Bush; his sisters, Maurine Castles, Dorothy Drake and Betsy Young and son-in-law, Robert W. Tobin. Bill is survived by his three daughters, Beverly Morris and Robert Morris, Emily Tobin and Laura Skiles and Roger Skiles, and six grand-children, Karen Tobin Hendrix and husband, Neal, Marianne Morris Sweitzer and husband, Scott, Sarah Skiles Kemppainen, Carolyn Morris Smith and husband, Bobby, Martha Skiles Nohr and husband, Jared and William Skiles and wife Brittany, as well as nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bill was born on May 9, 1919 in Allen Texas. He served his country in WWII in the Army Air Corp, spending 13 months in POW camp in Germany being liberated by General Patton on April 30, 1945. Following the war, he was in the Real Estate business in Dallas for over 60 years. He was a graduate of Highland Park High School and SMU, where he was member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. A charter member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church and the Sons of the American Revolution. The visitation for Bill will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The graveside service for Bill Bush will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Restland Memorial Park. A memorial service for Bill will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Scottish Rite Hospital, PCPC, Wounded Warriors or charity of your choice.
