William Paul Campion's Obituary
William Paul Campion II, (Bill) 80 years young, passed away peacefully Friday, January 31st, 2025, at his home in Richardson, TX. He was born August 26,1944 at St. Paul hospital to Mary Louise Kucera Campion (Bebe) and James Timothy Campion. Bill was raised on Mount Auburn Avenue in East Dallas attending St. Edward’s Academy for 8 years and graduating from Jesuit High School in 1962. He then earned an accounting degree from Arlington State College (UTA) in 1967 and a law degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1970 while serving in the National Guard.
Bill married Francine Northcutt Campion in 1973. Their first child Paul was born in 1975. Devon, their second child was born in 1977. Francine passed away from cancer in 1986 and the family moved from Houston to Richardson, Texas where Bill married Kate Campion in 1992. Bill enjoyed a successful career of over 50 years as an attorney spending time in Dallas, Denver, Norman, Austin, Abilene, Houston, and the final 39 years in Richardson, his final resting place.
Bill is survived by his wife of 32 years Kate Campion and two sons William “Paul” Campion III and Devon Scott Campion. He also leaves behind his sister Judith Anne Campion Blake and Husband Marlin Blake, brothers James Timothy
Campion, Jr, John Michael Campion and wife Cindy Cox, and Edmund Joseph Campion and wife Danielle along with 42 nieces and nephews.

Bill lived a remarkable life and created quite a legacy for himself. His tenacity, intestinal fortitude, work ethic, and organizational skills were inspiring. From the fruits of the spirit, he embodied a sense of goodness, from the cardinal virtues of stoicism he embodied a sense of justice, and from his Irish and Czech heritage he embodied a witty sense of humor.
A memorial service will be held on February 22, 2025, from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM at Memorial Chapel at Restland Memorial Park. The private inurnment will be done at 2 PM for family.
