William Evans Dishner's Obituary
DISHNER, WILLIAM EVANS age 90, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on 6/25/2012 at Medical City Dallas. He was born on 6/14/1922 in San Antonio, Texas to his parents, John Henry Dishner and Emma Francis Evans Dishner. At age 2, his family moved to Dallas, where he resided the rest of his life. He had one brother, John Jr., who preceded him in death 27 years ago. On his birthday in 1947, Wiliam (Bill) married Billye Jewel Taylor who he had met at Mt. Auburn Christian Church. They had one child, Tom Edward, who was born in 1953. Billye preceded him in death in May of 2009. He was proud of his WW2 service in the Army Air Corps as a machinist. He served at Hondo TX, Bari Italy, and in post war Germany. Bill was employed by Mobil Oil at the Field Research Lab, for over 35 years as an engineer, safety engineer, and later as an office services supervisor. He was a music lover and directed choirs in the Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church for a number of years. Bill was a contributing patron of the Dallas Symphony. He and Billye were season ticket holders to the classical and the pops series ever since the symphony moved to the Myerson. Bill will be remembered by his loving son Tom, his Sister in Law Mary Dishner, Nephew and Niece Joe Dishner and Ann Dishner Symns, as well as all of his great nieces, his great nephew, the extended families, and old friends. He will also be remembered by the many friends he had made at the Five Star Premier Residences (formerly Classic Residences by Hyatt) where he and Billye had enjoyed living since 1998. All are invited to a celebration of life for Bill at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday July 7 at Restland Cemetery Wildwood Chapel.
