William Forrest Duperry's Obituary
William Forrest Duperry was first and always family. The beloved son of Leslie Ellis and David Duperry, he was the heart of their home. Born on July 13th, 2004, in Dallas, Texas, William’s arrival changed everything for Leslie and David. From that day forward, every plan and hope they held was shaped around caring for him and sharing life together. Their bond only deepened with each passing year. William’s life, though brief, filled twenty-one years with moments his parents will treasure for the rest of their days. Ordinary hours spent together now feel like priceless memories they carry close.
William attended St.Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic grade school, J.L. Long Middle School, Bryan Adams High School while also attending East Field Community College for early college for three years and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. While at Bryan Adams he was the school mascot for almost two years, was on the tennis team and eventually team captain. William was involved in many school clubs such as the chess team, Lego Robotics where he also mentored and coached the Lego Robotics for the Special Needs team. He loved to run the track at Woodrow Wilson and would run around White Rock Lake at least twice a week. Fitness was very important to William. He worked out at the White Rock YMCA every day before he became a father; he even made the YMCA 100. He was an avid reader and writer.
He passed away on April 10th, 2026, in Garland, Texas, leaving a space that can never be filled. William is survived by his son, Elijah Raphael Duperry, mother and stepdad, Leslie Ann Ellis and Scott Warren, father David Brian Duperry, brother Patrick Ryan Duperry, maternal grandparents Sarah Ann and Don Ellis, uncle Eric Forrest Ellis, paternal grandparents Ken and Elsie Duperry, Uncle James Allen Duperry, his best friends George Garrido and Caleb Thompson, and numerous cousins. As we say goodbye, we hold William’s name gently and keep his parents in our thoughts. Rest peacefully, William; your story lives on in the steadfast love of Leslie and David.
