William (Bill) Elgin Dozier's Obituary
Born August 29, 1925 in Guthrie Missouri and passed away August 4, 2016 in Dallas Texas. Bill Dozier characterized his life as “a Furrow to the future.” He was raised on a Missouri farm. He served in the Navy during WWII as part of the greatest generation. He was married to Norma Jean (Cave) Dozier, his high school sweetheart. Together they had 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was the founder of a highly successful bank security. corporation and is deeply respected across the industry. He was an innovator in his field. He was a man of deep faith. Together he and Norma Jean traveled the world. Their broad experiences enriched their lives and the lives of countless others. He was well respected for his wisdom and generosity. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Norma Jean Dozier. His three children; Allyson Paxton and husband Joseph of Fort Worth. Charles Dozier and wife Cathy of University Park. Barbra Powell and husband Robert of Dallas. His six Grandchildren; Jennifer Paxton, Jason Paxton, Preston Powell, Sarah Dozier, Madison Norris, Mary Dozier. And their respective spouses. His three great grandchildren; Atticus, Gwendolyn, and Lydia. Service for William Dozier will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 6, 2016 in The Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
