Last week involved one of those hard hard days. This was saying goodbye to Daddy Flay. Although not related he stepped in and was a “dad” in one of the hardest times of my life. When my ex asked me for a divorce I was devastated. I had not even told my own parents that he had left a few weeks earlier. So when he called me and told me he wanted a divorce I called Flay and Suzanne. They immediately drove across town to South Ft Worth talking to me on their cell the whole time (back when you paid if you went over your minutes) to be with me until 2 am to make sure I was ok. This was on a work night no less.
That sealed the deal that they would be in my life forever. And it truly is forever since I know Flay is with Jesus and so in the midst if grief I have hope that we will see him again
But my heart breaks for the family as Flays laughter would light up the room Love You Daddy Flay and Toots and your whole family
