William Edward Gateley Jr's Obituary
William Edward Gateley Jr, age 79, passed away on March 22, 2024, in Richardson, Texas. He was born in the Philippines, Luzon Island.
Bill was preceded in death by his father William Edward Gateley, Sr. and brother Larry T. Gateley.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Gateley; daughter, Jennifer Gateley; grandchildren, Devin, Tashley, Clifton, Mercedes, and Brianna and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Mercedes (Nicdao) Gateley; sisters, Brenda Maxwell, Gloria Smith, Celia Jones and Arlene Moseley; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He graduated from UNT-Dallas with an Associate of Arts degree in technology. He was enlisted in the Air Force where he received additional training in radar systems and sailed on the USS Enterprise. Later, he landed a job at Texas Instruments earning various rewards and recognition throughout his career, He is recognized by Raytheon for 50 years of service.
Being a true artist at heart. He also loved painting, drawing, sculpting, and photography.
