William "Bill" Harry Rosenbleeth's Obituary
ROSENBLEETH, WILLIAM “BILL” HARRY born on October 29, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on the evening of December 23, 2013 in Plano, Texas. Bill will be remembered fondly by friends and family, as well those he just met, for his warm sense of humor and his willingness to share a smile. After attending Temple University, Bill became a successful engineer. He spent the majority of his professional career with Libbey Glass, retiring in 1987. Bill moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1973 to take a leadership position at Libbey Glass’ newest and most modern production facility, but he always considered himself a product of New Jersey. Over the course of Bill’s life, he was an accomplished athlete, lifeguard, soldier, student, gifted artist, fan of his grandchildren’s sports teams and mentor to those less fortunate than himself. He was a leader in his church and was instrumental in building and growing the church he loved – Greenwood United Methodist Church in Greenwood, Louisiana. After moving to Farmers Branch in 2005 to be closer to family, he became a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church where he enjoyed being part of a large and vibrant community. Bill loved making new friends and was always willing to share a joke to make those around him smile. Later in his life he enjoyed traveling, and he maintained an active social life with his best friend, companion and light of his life, Eleanor Roylance. Bill will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Myrtle Rosenbleeth and his wife Ethel Rosenbleeth. He is survived by his sister Irene Meng and husband Tommy; brother Robert Rosenbleeth and wife Barbara; children Michael Rosenbleeth and wife Kathy, Jodi Shinnick and husband Blake and Mitch Rosenbleeth and wife Mary; six beloved grandchildren Justin, Jason, Ian, Ryan, Taylor, Fletcher and the newest addition to his family, his great grandson Greyson. Family and friends will host a memorial service in Bill’s honor at 3pm Friday, January 3rd in Cox Chapel at the Highland Park United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors program in Bill’s honor. www.rosenbleeth.com
