William (Bill) Howard's Obituary
William E. (Bill) Howard, 89, of Garland, Texas, died January 31, 2015. Bill was born in Xenia, Illinois to Earl Howard and Gladys Stephens Howard on December 12, 1925. He married Rajean Gibson on June 27, 1948 in Flora, Illinois. Bill served in World War II and also the Korean conflict. In WWII he was in the Tenth Mountain Division. He took his basic training in Colorado. He was then sent to Italy. Bill worked as a salesman for Boyle- Midway, a division of American Home Products. He was transferred to Dallas and then to Houston. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rajean; two children, Debbie Winchester (Graham) of Hunt, Texas, and Cathy Duce (Jack) of Clear Lake. He leaves two granddaughters, Cristin Damon (Scott) of Dallas, Texas, and Audrey Shafer (Nick) of Austin, Texas. He also has a niece, Sarah Ray (George) of Ocala, and nephew, Steve Howard (Crystal) of Ocala, and his three children. A service for William Howard will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 10:00am at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
