William Inzer Kay's Obituary
William Inzer (Bill) Kay was born on May 6, 1922 and passed away on November 12, 2016. Mr. Kay was preceded in death by his parents, Eunie Mae & Ira J. Kay, Sr.; his wife of 57 years, Joy Elizabeth (Houser) Kay; one brother and four sisters. William is survived by his sister, Arnor Faye (Pug) Rhodes; daughters, Pam Steen (Don) of Granbury, TX, Sheran Casey of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren, Jennifer (Steen) Hall (Joey), David Steen (Judy), Sean William Benton, Stacie Benton; great-grandchildren, Tyler Hall (Taylor), McKenna Hall, Corey Steen, Brooke Steen, Benton Lee. Mr. Kay was born in DeLeon, Texas and retired in Dallas, Texas from Mobil Oil in 1987 after 40 years of service. He was a World War II veteran as a Sergeant in the US Army. While working in Kermit, Texas, he was a Volunteer Firefighter. An avid bowler, Mr. Kay was on bowling teams through his 90th year of life. He enjoyed working cattle, growing hay, and cultivating the orchard on his farm in Parker County, Texas. He was a devout Dallas Cowboys fan and seldom did he allow anything to interfere with watching their games on TV. A graveside service for William Kay will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Living Water Community Transformation, Inc, ministering in South Sudan, 4301 Gainesborough Ct., Tampa, FL 3362, www.livingwaterct.org, or the charity of your choice.
