William M. Jones' Obituary
JONES, WILLIAM M. Bill had a wry sense of humor, was a life-long entrepreneur, loved his family and he lived by some simple philosophies: “Love others unconditionally,” and “live in the now.” Bill was a veteran of World War II. After the war ended, he graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in English, and began a life of entrepreneurship. He built dry cleaners, drilled oil wells, and sold real estate. William was a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 41 years. In his later years was a student of Buddhism. Most importantly he loved his family and was adored by friends. William M. Jones, born May 11th, 1924 in Atlanta, Georgia and passed away Wednesday, July 24th, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Loftus Jones and Dessie McGuire, his sister Florence, and his wife Kathryn. William is survived by his eight children, Curt, Scott, Chris, Amanda, Jeff, Gena, Kimberly, and Steve, and 19 grandchildren. Family will receive friends on July 26th, 2013 from 5:30 to 8 PM at Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. Service will be held July 27th, 2013 at 5 PM at Restland Memorial Chapel.
