William J. Thibodeau's Obituary
William (Bill) J. Thibodeau passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas on March 11, 2016 at the age of 84. Bill is predeceased by his former wife, Billie J. Thibodeau, his father, William L. Thibodeau, and his step-mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Stevens Thibodeau, and his in-laws, William D. and Gertrude (Trudy) Garrison. Bill is survived by his loving daughter, Janice L. Thibodeau of Wylie, Texas, son Thomas W. Thibodeau of Waco, Texas, and son, Randall G. Thibodeau of Socorro, New Mexico. Bill is lovingly remembered by Helen (Sue) Miller of Houston, Texas and her two daughters, Linda and Don Barnes and two sons of Austin, Texas, Carol Davis and son in Houston, Texas, sister-in-law Euna Vay Schween of Dallas, Texas, John and Dorothy Schween and family in Monroe, Louisiana, Adeena and Larry Davidson and family of Dallas, Texas, Janeen and Barry Peir and family of Evergreen, Colorado, Mike and Connie Schween and family of Denver, Colorado, as well as other relatives and friends. Bill was born in Portland, Maine in 1931. He graduated from Elgin High School in Illinois in 1952 and went on to serve in the Air Force for 20 years including Korean and Vietnam wars with distinguished honors rising to T/Sgt., and then continuing his dedicated service to his country in intelligence globally. Bill retired in Waco, Texas fulfilling his promise ot his wife to return her back home near her family. He then moved to Houston, Texas to work at Chevron Towers as an engineering supervisor for 18 years. He retired at the age of 76, moving to Wylie, Texas in 2012. Bill traveled extensively with his family to Japan, Okinawa, England, and different parts of the United States, spoke 7 different languages, loved working on aircrafts and automobiles, enjoyed cooking for his loved ones, caring for animals, and cross word puzzles, playing with cards with family and friends. He loved learning and studied business at McLennan Community College. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 12 PM at Restland Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will be held at DFW National Cemetery.
