For nearly 60 years, Bill lived on Martha Lane. Every evening, the kids on Martha Lane would kickball or baseball in the cul-de-sac. Every spring, we would lose a baseball down the gutter until we remembered to put a board over the opening. Bill and friends would play in the woods behind the street until it was developed. Bill was a great neighbor to those on Martha Lane.

For all his life, Bill was a San Francisco Giants baseball fan with Willie Mays being his favorite Giant. Later in life, he became a Dallas Stars hockey fan. You learned not to call Bill if there was a Giants or Stars game on the television.
Bill was a 1977 graduate of the University of Texas- Austin and a brother in the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. Bill was in jewelry sales for Corrigan’s Jewelry for about 15 years and knew the birthstone of every month.
When his father became wheelchair bound, Bill became a caretaker of his parents. He would drive them to reunions of their 1949 Baylor College of Dentistry class., the 49ers, and dental meetings. Bill took care of his parents until their deaths.
Bill became an airport shuttle driver for Fairfield Inn at DFW and became friends with many of the airline flight attendants and pilots, who regularly stayed at the Fairfield Inn.
