Bill was a very interesting person. I got acquainted with he a Jeri when I took sermon tapes of each Sunday service to them when Jeri was Ill. He was always so positive when I would check on him at Brookdale.
Bill and I go back into the early 70’s, both as a friend, neighbor and attorney. So sorry unable to attend his service. Thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Bill Lovelace and I were friends for more than fifty years. We were “Best Man” in each other’s weddings. Bill traveled to Minnesota in the dead of winter to be my Best Man – a real friend. I am very proud of my friend’s contribution to our legal system, in his single lawyer practice. His dedication to defending the common man in a time of need was exemplary. I am especially proud of my friend’s trip to China where he introduced our legal system to the Chinese.
Despite living many miles apart, we were able to maintain a close friendship over many, many, year. A true friend who will be missed.
I am current Mission East Board President and was just informed Mr. Lovelace served as a board of director, before I came on the MED Board. I would like to extend our sympathy for your loss on behalf of the Mission East Board of Directors Please feel free to contact me.
Truly a great friend. We grew up together in Brownwood and Billy was constantly getting me in trouble in school.
(even though it was never me starting trouble). I did not see him much in the last few years but we talked on phone and he remained upbeat every time.
Rest in peace—you deserve it.
