William Riley Miller Jr's Obituary
Riley Miller, a lifelong Old East Dallas resident, died unexpectedly after a short illness, October 17. Born November 28, 1943 to Riley, Sr and Erleen Sooter, Riley was a Woodrow Wilson HS graduate, and served honorably in the Army Security Agency during the Vietnam conflict. At midlife, Riley attended UNT and became a Licensed Professional Counselor, serving in workforce development and working generously with other persons in recovery. Riley was a faithful, active member of Grace United Methodist Church. Riley was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda. He is survived by his loving wife Janie Hyde Miller, two sisters, Susan and Julie (Lane), and brother-in-law Jon Caswell. A private graveside service is planned, and a memorial will take place after the pandemic. In place of flowers, the family appreciates a donation to Grace United Methodist Church, 4105 Junius St, Dallas, TX. 75204.
