William Oldfield Moore's Obituary
MOORE, WILLIAM OLDFIELD was born in Pine Bluff, AR on July 6, 1924 to his parents, Johnnie and Mark Moore. He passed away on October 2, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. William attended schools in Pinebluff and Quitman, Arkansas. He joined the Air Force after graduating high school and served in WWII as pilot of C47’s in Italy. He returned home and went to Arkanses A&M in Monticello, Arkansas, and received a degree in Business where he met his wife Betty Avery. They married in 1949. William and Betty lived in Shreveport, Louisiana where he worked for HOLICER MFG IN 1952 and later moved to Dallas, Texas and worked for Squibb-Pitzer for 25 years. After the new company formed (FVC) he became the VP and General Manger until he retired. He was also a past Master of Hillcrest Lodge and member of North Lake Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughter, Debby Fowler; and son, Jeff Moore; three grandchildren: Darian Fowler, Preston Moore, and Trevor Moore; two great grandchildren; sister, Dr. Marcelline Burns. Services will be held at 12:00PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Restland Abbey Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00AM – 12:00PM, prior to the service at the Abbey Chapel.
