William Jack Morris' Obituary
MORRIS, WILLIAM JACK (BILL) Age 62, passed away at his home in Richardson, Texas on January 8, 2008. Bill was born on October 9, 1945 in Richardson, son of Alonzo Ray and Christine Morris. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Karen; brother Allen and his wife Jeri, niece and nephew Susannah and Andrew; son Kyle and his wife Christie; daughters Keri Morris, and Karla Byrd and her husband Troy; and grandchildren Devin and De’Patrick Byrd, and Hudson and Molly Morris. Bill was a 1964 graduate of Richardson High School and 1968 graduate of North Texas University. He graduated from SMU Law School in 1971, and went on to build a 36-year legal career as a respected plaintiff’s attorney. Over the past few decades his practice has primarily been devoted to representing injured people in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases. He leaves behind an immense legal legacy and esteemed reputation, which his son expects to continue. Bill loved entertaining, traveling, reading, and playing golf; but his biggest love of all was his family, especially being a PaPa to his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bill will be remembered for his compassion, kindness, and camaraderie. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, January 11, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Arapaho United Methodist Church. Interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park.
