William "Bill" Norris Strickland's Obituary
STRICKLAND, WILLIAM “BILL” NORRIS Born February 27, 1929 in Dallas, TX and passed away June 2, 2012 in Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy M. Strickland; brother, Robert Strickland and parents, Norris and Burnie Strickland. Bill is survived by his daughter, Debbie Garver and husband, Denny; grandson, Matt Garver and wife, Moriah; brother-in-law, Rusty Marshall and wife, Carol and numerous nieces and nephews. He served honorably in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. Bill was an avid sports fan, past president of PSA, a youth sports league in Plano and coached for many years. Family will receive friends on June 4, 2012 from 6:00-8:00PM, at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held June 5, 2012 at 12:30PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Bill was a devoted father, grandfather and husband.
