William R. Pierre's Obituary
Pierre, William R. Born May 12, 1922 in Hartford, CT died August 24, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents Catherine Grady and Rocco Pierre, and brother Robert Pierre. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Helen Ann Wehrmann Pierre, daughter Pam Myers and husband Bob, son Mike and wife Judi, daughter Sally and fiancee Donny Mushet, son Jack and fiancee Karen Casey. Grandchildren Casey and Matthew Hanna, Melissa Myers and Robby Myers. Sister Gerry and husband Dick Scheide. Bill graduated from Mt. Herman Prep School, MA and Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Bill served as LT. JG. in the US Navy in the Pacific theater as a navigator on LSTs during WW II. His career was spent in chemical sales, the last 20 years with Ribelin Distributors. After retiring he volunteer with Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. He was a long time member of the Dallas Athletic Club, where he was an accomplished and avid golfer. One of his greatest joys was teaching his wife, children, son-in-law and grandson how to play golf. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church for more than 40 years. Bill was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and grandfather, affectionately known as “Trots”! Memorial mass, Saturday, August 27th at 11:00 am at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Rd.
