William Lyndal Pierson's Obituary
William Lyndal Pierson, 85, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2020, in Garland, Texas.
Lyndal was born October 4, 1935, in Whitewright, Texas, to Willie Mack and Lettie Bell (Harber) Pierson. In 1954 he graduated from Whitewright High School where he loved playing football.
Lyndal married the love of his life, Betty Jarvis, on June 14, 1953, in Whitewright, Texas. He worked for various grocery stores as market manager and retired from Albertsons. He was a member of Axe Memorial United Methodist Church, Garland, Texas.
Lyndal coached Little League football and was very involved in Boy Scouts. He was especially proud of his three sons and two grandsons who were Eagle Scouts.
Lyndal is survived by Betty, his wife of 67 years, along with three sons and a daughter: Bobby Pierson and wife Karen of Lone Oak, Texas; Billy Pierson and wife Tammy of Pilot Point, Texas; Sam Pierson and wife Joy of Garland, Texas; and Sharonne Rader and husband Mike of Forney, Texas; also, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved and cherished dearly. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers the Pierson family requests donations be sent to Abba Care Assisted Living where Lyndal has lived and been cared for by the wonderful, loving staff for the last 15 months.
