William Presley's Obituary
Lifetime Longhorn, pharmacist, and father of two, William M Presley Jr passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018, of natural causes. He was 69 years.Born to William Presley and Irene Broyles of Palestine, Texas on November 22, 1948, Bill graduated from Palestine High School in 1967 and enrolled at the University of Texas the same year. He bled burnt orange for the rest of life and shared his love of the Longhorns with his friends and family. He was a proud Texan, and he lived for family traditions and Christmas morning.As a practicing pharmacist for 35 years, he was able to combine his interest in medicine with his natural capacity for helping others. He also had never-ending compassion for animals, with a particular affinity for cats named after musicians.He is survived by his two children, son Austin Presley of Los Angeles, CA, with whom he shared a love of movies, college football, and a sardonic sense of humor, and daughter Megan “Dragon Lady” Kostibas of Columbia, MD, who carried on his interest in medicine as a physician. He is additionally survived by his “Evil Sister” Karen Bailey of Dallas, Texas, his son-in-law Konstantinos Kostibas, and his two grandchildren, John Cole and Samantha Elizabeth Kostibas.A memorial service will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel on Thursday, October 4, at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that you make a donation to SPCA of Texas.
