William Clarence Schultz's Obituary
SCHULTZ, WILLIAM CLARENCE Born May 7, 1920 to Earl and Bernice Schultz in Caney, Kansas. William served in the Army from 1938 to 1945 mostly in the Aleutian Islands namely Dutch Harbor and Amchitka, Alaska with the 203rd Hound Dog Regiment. He married Lorraine Elizabeth Cole in January 1945 in Joplin, MO. They had six children while teaching, attending college and earning their Masters Degrees. Along the way William became a thirty-second degree Mason, a Shriner, was a member of both along with being a charter member of Knights of Mecca. After Lorraine’s death in 2009, William and Mary Jeanne married January 23, 2010. They met at Mountain Creek Retirement Community where both were living. Nine of their ten children were in their wedding. He retired from the Irving School District in 1985 after teaching for 35 years. William is survived by his wife, Mary Jeanne Schultz of Grand Prairie, TX; children, Michael Schultz and wife Carol of Burleson, TX, David Schultz and wife Cathy of Newalla, OK, Debbie Losoya and husband Louis of Wichita Falls, TX, Eric Schultz of San Bruno, CA, Alicia Lutz and husband David of Bethany, OK, Trent Schultz and wife Paula of Midlothian, TX; stepchildren, Joyce Anglin and husband Frank of Las Cruces, NM, Kenneth Buckley and wife Jan of Frisco and Addison, TX, Keith Buckley and wife Melissa of Richardson, and Frances Schumpert and husband Stoney of Dallas, TX; brother, Robert Schultz and his wife Jean of Houston, TX; sisters, Jeanne Michael of Las Vegas, NV, Gloria Ann Davis of Victor, MT; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00pm, Sunday, April 29th at Restland Funeral Home. William’s funeral will be held at 10:00am, Monday, April 30th at Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Prairie. The Patriot Guard Riders will escort the family back to Restland for a Masonic graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Masonic or Shrine Hospitals, Faith Lutheran Church or charity of your choice.
