William Farrell Schuman's Obituary
William (Bill) Farrell Schuman – Born February 13, 1928 in Harrold, TX, passed peacefully with his wife Mary by his side on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Bill was 83 years old. Bill graduated from Oklaunion High School in 1946. Bill and Mary E. England of Sullivan, IL were married on September 3, 1949. Bill was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corp. in 1952, and was stationed in Japan for 2 years after the Korean War and continued to serve in the Reserves until 1960 when he was honorably discharged. Bill worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Lubbock, TX while earning his Bachelors Degree and subsequent MBA in 1968 from Texas Tech University. Bill began working for the Internal Revenue Service in Lubbock, was promoted and transferred to Dallas in 1973 until he retired in 1985. Bill was a Mason and an active member of the Garland and Allen Lodges. Bill is survived by his wife Mary of 61 years and three daughters. Rebecca Schuman Davis (Frisco, TX), Julie Schuman Brown and husband Jeff (Allen, TX), Janie Schuman Ramsey and husband Greg (Wills Point, TX). Grandchildren: Scott Davis, Amanda Brown, Samuel Ramsey, Jackson Ramsey. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX. The family requests that memorials be made to Texas Voice Project For Parkinson Disease, texasvoiceproject.org
