William Gary Strzinek's Obituary
William Gary Strzinek, known to family and friends as “Gary,” passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the age of 74 years in Frisco, Texas. He was born on Tuesday, October 3, 1944, to Alfred William Strzinek and Sara Virginia Quillen in Dallas, Texas.Gary graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1962. He went on to attend East Texas State University and the University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Gary then began a very successful career in sales. He was an influential leader and pioneer in technology sales, working for companies DocuTel, InterVoice and Periphonics during the technology boom of the 1970s-1990s. Gary worked in the United States and internationally, notably leading the Southeast Asia sales team of Periphonics while living in Singapore. In recent years before retirement, Gary was a Financial Advisor for Wells Fargo and Bank of America.Gary was a lover of adventure and world traveler. He had a passion for sports cars and a soft spot for dogs. Gary was an avid and accomplished runner, and enjoyed competing in marathons throughout his lifetime and taking daily walks.Gary will be lovingly remembered by his three children, Courtney Strzinek, Scott Strzinek, and Melissa Quist, and siblings, Audrey Tinsley, Robert Strzinek and Steve Brewer. He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and countless loved ones.Visitation for Gary will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 12:30 pm in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Whispering Waters Mausoleum in Restland Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
