William Carl Summers Jr.'s Obituary
Carl Summers of Dallas passed peacefully from the arms of his loving family to the arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 16. Carl was born on March 2, 1927 to William Carl Sr. and Ella Summers in Waurika, OK. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Karen; daughters Ellen Burks and husband C.P., Kristen Spaeth and husband Kevin (grandchildren Kayla and Kyler) and son Kurt Summers and wife Erika. Directly after graduating from high school, Carl was drafted into the army and served in Germany during WWII. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, Carl practiced architecture in Dallas for more than 50 years. Carl was a lifelong Christian Scientist. He had many interests, including OU college football, sports car racing, sailing, and radio control airplanes. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
