William H. Turnham's Obituary
William H. Turnham, age 91, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025. Born on March 2, 1934, in Gainesville, Texas, to William and Emma Turnham, William lived a life marked by integrity, kindness, and generosity.
On June 12, 1954, William married the love of his life, Jeanette Turnham, in Dallas, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life centered around family, adventure, and shared passions. William had a deep love for motorcycle racing, car shows, and traveling—interests he passed down to his three sons, creating cherished memories and lifelong bonds.
William was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jeanette, his parents William and Emma Turnham, and his sister Dorothy Wade. He is survived by his sons: Jimmy Turnham (wife Lucy), Mike Turnham (wife Debbie), and David Turnham (wife Lori); grandchildren: Coley, Zachary, John Paul, and Chanel; great-grandchildren: Landon, Ellis, Brenlynn, and Maisie; his brother Don Turnham, sister Ruth Barbee, and many nieces and nephews.
Though he never sought the spotlight, William’s quiet strength and unwavering love made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He led by example, teaching lessons of compassion, resilience, and humility. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, and in the stories and traditions he helped create.
A visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Friday, August 8, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Restland Cemetery on Monday, August 11, at 9:00 AM
William’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and quiet leadership. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
