William Richard Vaughter's Obituary
VAUGHTER, WILLIAM RICHARD Born December 1, 1927 in Mirando City, TX and passed away July 19, 2007 in Dallas, TX. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Virginia and Swon Vaughter and sister, Betty Rudeloff. He was a graduate of Mirando City High School where he was a star athlete. Mr. Vaughter was a veteran of the U.S.Navy and served from 1946 – 1948. A 1954 graduate of Texas A&I in Kingsville, TX. After graduating from college, he became an auditor for U.S. Steel and met his wife of 50 years, Jackie Robinson. They married June 1, 1957 in Dallas, TX. Bill was a 40 year member of the First United Methodist Church of Dallas and was a member of the Kingsville, TX Masonic Lodge for 50 years. A devoted employee of the William Plack Carr family and a life member of the Sokol Athletic Center where he served as Treasurer for many years. Bill loved music, dancing and his cherished Mirando City friends. He is survived by wife, Jackie, and children, Brenna and husband, Gary, Brent, Kara and Katie; sister, Geraldine Czech; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and numerous nephews and nieces and many beloved friends.
