William Gene Watkins' Obituary
Born December 18, 1923 in Dallas, Texas; passed away April 17, 2009 in Dallas, Texas. William worked for many years as a technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone; in his free time he enjoyed woodworking, with a special love for kitchens, as well as hunting. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Rowlett. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Marie Watkins; daughter, Nancy Vest; sister, Polly Hatfield; sister-in-law, Norma Jeans and husband Edward; nieces, Gail and Laura; and nephew, Johnny Hatfield. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, April 20, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. A service will be held in William’s honor at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Restland’s Wildwood Chapel, with interment to follow Restland Memorial Park, Rose Garden.
