William H. Wiley's Obituary
Born July 22, 1917 in Denison, TX to William A. and Flora Wiley and passed away May 15, 2011 in Dallas. He was the oldest of seven siblings, two of whom survive him. They are Flora Wiley Pratt of Charlotte, NC and LaJuen O’Neal of St. Augustine, FL. He is also survived by his daughter, Mary Anne Wiley of Austin, TX, brother-in-law, William Woodward and numerous nieces and nephews. William served in the US Army-Air Corp during WWII in North Africa and Europe. He began work at the age of 14 for the MKT Railroad, known as, “The Katy” Railroad. He retired as the Vice President and General Manager of Katy Transportation in 1979. He served as an Honorary Admiral in the Texas Navy, an Honorary Kentucky Coronel and a 32nd Degree Mason. Graveside service at 11:30am, Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Restland Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX with visitation an hour prior at the funeral home. Donations may be made to any Shriners Hospital.
