William Wood's Obituary
WILKINSON, WILLIAM E. “BILL”, born June 6, 1966 in Dallas, Texas, to Evelyn Ruth and C.E. ” Wilkie” Wilkinson who survive their son. Bill is also survived by his wife, Velvet, Bill’s daughter Andrea and Ericka; step-son Gabriel, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, and numerous uncles, anuts, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lois and Avner Wood, and Charlie and Octavia Wilkinson. Bill entered his eternal home in Heaven upon his death on July 28, 2007 at Baylor Hospital after a brief but valiant struggle with cancer; following a courageous and determined fight to overcome the effects of a stroke suffered in August 2006. Bill had that special gift of loving and accepting love, and endeared himself to all who knew him. Although Bill’s life on this earth was cut short, he lived his life to the fullest with his loving family and his many close and teasured friends, business associates, and most recently with his devoted caregivers at Baylor Rehab Center and Hospital. Bill was successful and dedicated to the family business and loved working with his dad and mother, having joined them following his graduation from Rockwall High School on 1984. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel at 1:00 on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 with Rev. Steve Stoup and Rev. Lyn Cypert officiating. Visitation will be 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Freddie Rodriguez, Wayne Watson, Francisco Matwino, Doug Bailey, Ben Shank and Mike Mendez. Honorary pallbearers are John Woolems, W.D. Pardue, Lad Cmajdalka, Bobby Wood, Fred Mullins and J.T. Jackson.
