Willie Lee Deaton Jr. was born at Ridgeway in Hopkins County, Texas on August 5, 1925 to Willie Lee Deaton Sr. and Mary Lucille Walker Deaton. He was called home to his Lord on September 10, 2011. Bill was a World War II veteran of the US Navy, serving as a hospital corpsman in the Pacific, and retired after 35 years with Foremost Dairies to working in the yard, going to his grandkid’s ballgames, attending family reunions, and daily walks with his best friend Casper Deaton. He was a loyal 54 year member of the First Baptist Church of Richardson. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Cassie Horton Deaton; son David and Debbie Deaton, granddaughter Erin and Matt Ralls, great grandchildren James and Nate Ralls, grandson William Deaton, and granddaughter Mollie Deaton; daughter Donna and Jerry Neal, grandson Jeremy and Abby Neal, and great grandchildren Jolee and Isaac Neal; sister Wanda and James McKinzie; sister-in-law Mae Horton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
