Rev. Willie Edward Faggett's Obituary
Rev. Willie Edward Faggett, age 60, of Carrollton, TX passed away peacefully on 05/24/2011 at Integrity Transitional Hospital, Denton, TX. He was born on 03/30/1951 in Marshall, TX to his parents, Edison and Eula (Caldwell) Faggett. He married Sonya Williams-Terry in Dallas, TX on March 25, 1995. He attended South Oak Cliff High School and graduated in 1969. He served in the Navy for 6 years. He was a longtime resident of Carrollton, TX for 30 years and employed by Dallas Morning News, IBM and AT&T as a customer service representative. Willie was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church as an Associate Minister. He enjoyed fishing, all genres of music, especially gospel. He was a key board player for the Burns Family and The Dale Burns Experience. Willie will be remembered by his loving wife and their children, Daughter Kim Gibson (Shere), Duncanville, TX; Sons, Jeferni Cameron (Cheryl), Portsmouth, VA; Michael Adair, Irving, TX; David Adair, Carrollton, TX; 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by his mother, Eula Faggett, Dallas, TX; Brothers, Bervin Faggett and Wallace Faggett (Edni), Dallas, TX; Phillip Faggett (Samantha), Carrollton, TX, Edison Faggett, San Diego, CA; one special brother, Dale Burns, (Sharon) Carrollton, TX; sisters, Patricia, Evelyn and Erica Faggett, Carrollton, TX; step mother, Jimmie Faggett, Carrollton, TX, mother-in-law, Bettye Williams, Bartlesville, OK; Aunts, Ernestine Green, Dallas, TX and Fredonia Super, Kansas City, KS; Uncle, Cleve Caldwell, Dallas, TX. Preceded in death by Father, Edison Faggett; sister, Phyllis Faggett and maternal and paternal grandparents. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service at 11:00AM, Friday, May 27, 2011 at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 11611 Webb Chapel Rd, Dallas, TX. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
